National Competent Authorities
benefits of Implementing CTF
A common training framework for Hospital Pharmacists in Europe will imply moving towards a safer and more advanced delivery of hospital pharmacy services within European Health systems. EAHP is approaching national competent authorities as the framework will not come into legal existence without their support.
Raising standards nationally for the hospital pharmacy profession;
Better outcomes for patients as professional standards have been raised;
Providing new opportunities for European cooperation among national competent authorities and other relevant stakeholders regarding hospital pharmacy;
Opening new opportunities for engendering reciprocal confidence (and transparent quality assurance) of other country’s hospital pharmacy education systems;
Providing long-term possibility of simplified and less labour intensive qualification recognition processes;
Reducing costs as higher quality implies lower costs (less medication errors, shorter waiting lists…)
Improving mobility for hospital pharmacists and knowledge sharing.
